Requirements

Renter must be at least 21 years old and present a driver's license.
Children under the age of 13 are required to wear life preservers prior to boarding (available on the dock).
No swimming or fishing from our boats.
No pets. We love pets, but we cannot accommodate them on our boats.
Our route is mostly residential, so please - no loud parties aboard our boats.

We just took a two hour cruise on the lagoon yesterday, with eight other individuals. It was relaxing, definitely enjoyable, and a pleasant time to spend with friends. We brought lunch sandwiches aboard along with drinks. The two hours went by very quickly!

FAQs

Duffy electric boats are relaxing and fun and very easy to drive.  We'll provide a safety briefing and operating instructions to the renter (and driver if different). No special licensing is required.  The renter will need to present a valid driver's license at check out and the credit card used to book.
The Foster City Lagoon is in a mostly residential area. We rent our electric boats for quiet lagoon cruises and picnics. All of our Duffy's have Bluetooth stereo, but please keep volumes moderate as a courtesy to our neighbors.
Gas powered boats are not permitted in the Foster City Lagoon.  All our boats are are electric powered with a maximum speed of 5 mph.  It is fast enough to tour the lagoon in two hours and relax.

It takes about two hours to explore the full length of the main channel of the Foster City Lagoon in a Duffy Electric Boat. You'll see the original Isles of Foster City, Ryan Park with the Amphitheatre and Metro Tower.  After passing under the Beach Park "Bicentennial" bridge you will pass Edgewater Shopping Center, and continue on as far as Sea Cloud Park. View Route Map

Getting Here

Our building and docks are inside the Foster City Boat park across the parking lot from the Dog Park and the Boat Launch Ramp. There is plenty of free parking in the Boat Park lot.
